How can i search for a specific topic?
Answer
The Library has different databases that you can use to search for information. We recommend ProQuest One Academic, which is a multidisciplinary database.
Follow these steps to access the Library Journals databases:
1. In the Virtual Library main page, click on the "Information resources" tab
2. Then, on the left side menu click on "Database by type (eBooks, journals, videos, etc.)":
3. Then you can click on the section that reads "Journals, magazines and newspapers" and it will take you directly to a list of Journal databases.
4. Remember that to have access to the databases of the Virtual Library, you must register with your complete institutional email (including @stu.ftccollege.edu) and the same password you use to enter Canvas.
5. In ProQuest One Academic, you can choose the type of information resource you need. To search for a topic, use the search bar. We recommend using keywords or terms instead of full sentences. For example: business leadership
We also recommend check-marking the box that reads "Full text" to get full-text articles, books, etc., on your search results.
We hope the information is helpful!
